Previously based in Afghanistan and Kenya, Saagarika is now in charge of providing ad hoc support on a variety of important themes such as partnerships and outreach. Her five years of experience have led her to gain knowledge in identifying gaps in programming and providing practical recommendations based on available resources for a variety of clients. Prior to joining Samuel Hall, Saagarika was an Advisor for Adam Smith International. Saagarika holds a BA in Sociology, Economics and Politics from the University of Pune, an MA in Medieval History from JNU and an MPhil in South Asian Studies from the University of Oxford. She has also earned several certifications in development from the World Bank Institute.
