Alaa Malabawi

Research Assistant

Alaa Malabawi joined Samuel Hall in November 2024 as a Research Assistant, specializing in refugee studies, M&E, and data-driven policy. She holds a Master’s in Education Management from the Lebanese International University and advanced training in Refugee Studies from the University of Oxford.

Previously, she designed social impact frameworks at Humans in The Loop (Bulgaria), led research compliance at 360 Consulting (Lebanon), and co-founded Cinaibrary, a community education initiative. Her work with UNHCR, Techfugees, and Empowering Women for Excellence Initiative (Nigeria) underscores her expertise in displacement contexts, multilingual surveys, and qualitative analysis.

Fluent in Arabic and English, Alaa merges technical proficiency (SPSS, data tools) with grassroots advocacy to advance equitable solutions. Alaa aligns with Samuel Hall’s mission to advance equitable policy through evidence-based solutions for displacement and sustainable development.
