Ohisa Franco Obiala is an ICT consultant at the Innovation Lab School in Kakuma Refugee Camp, where he dedicates himself to integrating information and communication technology into the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) of Kenya. With almost three decades of experience as a refugee, he understands the challenges faced by refugees in Kakuma and Kalobeyei camp.

He is passionate about education and equal opportunities, and he works tirelessly to ensure that students in Kakuma Refugee Camp have access to quality education through the use of ICT tools and resources. By equipping students and teachers with digital skills, he aims to empower them in their academic pursuits and prepare them for a successful future.

In addition to his role at the Innovation Lab School, he also serves as a Research Assistant for Samuel Hall. Through his research efforts, he is passionate about amplifying the voices of the voiceless, specifically focusing on individuals affected by migration and displacement. By collecting and analysing data, he aims to inform project implementers and policymakers, ultimately advocating for improved conditions and better interventions for marginalised populations.
