Kiran joined Samuel Hall in January 2025 as a Research Assistant in the Research and Policy Pillar. She holds a Master's degree in Muslim Cultures from Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations in London.
She worked as a Researcher for nearly three years at a consulting firm specialising in providing research and evaluation support to donors, governments, AKDN, and UN agencies. As a core team member, she successfully conducted multi-sector assessments, as well as baseline, mid-term, end-line, and final evaluations for programs focusing on poverty, education, WASH, sexual and gender-based violence, Violence Against Children (VAC), health, and more. My work spanned complex and conflict-affected regions across Pakistan, in sensitive and conflict-ridden areas of Pakistan with vulnerable communities across the country—particularly in its poorest, most fragile, and isolated regions.
She is also an alumna of the 2022 Women Leadership Academy (WLA)Fellowship Program, where she was selected in the first cohort from Asia (Pakistan). the program aimed to enhance women’s leadership and decision-making capacity within civil society. The fellowship covered regions in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mozambique) and Asia (Pakistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, India). Funded by Global Affairs Canada and the Aga Khan Foundation Canada, the six-month program provided me the opportunity to engage with a diverse network of changemakers.
She has a strong belief in humanitarian work and a rich background in voluntary services. Additionally, she has co-evaluated and co-authored "Impact evaluation of Socio-Economic Development Programme of Ismaili National Council Pakistan (2014-2021) in seven Valleys of Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral" voluntarily as part of AKDC-GBC Strategy.
