The first day focused on the state-of-the-art in migration research from and in Afghanistan; the second featured a policy debate on return migration to Afghanistan and unaccompanied minors in Europe from Afghanistan, with speakers from EU governments and research institutes, NGOs and international organisations.

La mission de combat des soldats français a pris fin en novembre, la transition complète de la sécurité aux forces afghanes doit se faire d’ici fin 2014. L’armée Afghane prend peu à peu la responsabilité de la sécurité sur le territoire, prenant une part active au processus de discussion avec les talibans au niveau local. Un espoir de paix qui doit aller de pair avec des projets de développement.
